For Frieze LA 2025 Anat Ebgi is pleased to present a group booth featuring works by seven Los Angeles-based artists. In our moment of ever-shifting political, environmental, and religious passions, this curated selection of works explore themes of forced displacement, narratives of migration, and observations about ancestral history and belonging. Each of these artists’ diverse practices contend with representations of beauty, and art historical concerns rooted in painting, installation, and craft practices. In their hands weightless ephemerality becomes a dense force of remembrance and cultural preservation.

Alec Egan Lost Everything in the L.A. Fires. Now, the Tragedy is Fueling His Newest Paintings

The Los Angeles-based painter had spent the better part of two years preparing for three exhibitions: one at Anat Ebgi gallery in Los Angeles, a solo booth at FOG Design + Art Fair presented by Charles Moffett gallery, and a solo show at the Maki Collection in Tokyo, which would be Egan’s first major museum exhibition in Asia. —Ali Hoffman
