Luke Diiorio’s work investigates material qualities outside of their functional dimensions. His embrace of a palette of linen, canvas, aluminum and drywall is utilized within his works, each oscillating between the varying oppositions and harmonies of the utilitarian and the handmade. Diiorio’s surfaces consist of material that is, at once, the structure, surface and composition of the work.
